Yet another busy week in reception. Christmas dinner, Christmas jumper day AND we saw Santa!
Next week is our Christmas party Thursday 20th. We sent home party bags, you will need pack a small lunch for your child only. This can include a sandwich/pizza slice or cheese and crackers, packet of crisps, some fruit, a small sweet treat and a drink. Please remember we are a nut free school.
We break up on Friday 21st at the usual time.
This week we have been looking at animals all around the world. We went on a safari hunt around the classroom. We also wrote postcards to our friends and family telling them about our adventure.
In maths we focused on repeated patterns. We enjoyed making and completing patterns using different objects and colours.
We are sending home sound cards (again) these are for you to practice the sounds from before and to look at some new sounds. See how many words you can make and read!
Next week in topic we will be reading christmas stories, writing Christmas cards and talking about what presents we would like for Christmas.
In Maths we will be comparing different weights, lengths and heights.
